History

Registered in 1990, the company’s origin was a design house for user application circuits and PCB artwork for the industrial and audio industries.

1992 Rovinco progressed into the field of design, manufacturing and commissioning of automated systems mainly in the concrete manufacturing and water treatment fields. Over the years Rovinco has gained valuable experience in the fields of concrete batching, water dosing, machine control, concrete paver, tile and brick manufacturing. Automation of machines used in the concrete industry has played a major role in the company’s development.

1995 Rovinco designed and started production of stunners and stimulators for the abattoir industry. Rovinco now produces a wide range of these devices for this industry.

2001 Rovinco moved its operations from Johannesburg to Klerksdorp to become more central to its client base.

2003 Rovinco became active in the marketing and sale of meat processing equipment, which was a natural extension for its abattoir activities, and looks forward to long relationships with these companies.

2004 we branched into other aspects of the concrete industry such as welding machines and measuring devices used for bending re-enforcing grids. The company has installed a number of these systems throughout South Africa.

2005 we revisited the water dosing and moisture compensation field. We have developed two systems based on our existing packages. One is a conductivity measurement device (with all its drawbacks) and a microwave measurement device. We have found that there is a place for both systems in the industry if applied correctly.

2006 saw the birth of two companies within the Rovinco banner. V&S Breeze Technologies, a company specializing in air conditioning and refrigeration, and Carcass Technologies which will take care of the abattoir and meat processing section of the parent company.

2007 and a new addition under the Rovinco banner, is Rovinco Electrical.

Experience

Our experience is based on twenty-five years designing and developing control systems for the concrete industry. For the past sixteen years, the company has installed and commissioned concrete batching and water dosing systems throughout the country. These systems vary from multispeed conveyor feeds to gravity feeds from bulkheads, microwave to conductivity moisture sensing, feature packed or standard, we offer many tailored systems for the industry. All the company’s experience is applied to these systems including design and support for the clients.
